What are peptide research materials?
Peptides are chains of amino acids. Particular synthetic peptides may be investigated for their chemical and biological properties in controlled laboratory research. Their intended research applications must not be confused with approval for human or veterinary use.
Can peptides be purchased in Dubai?
There is no universal answer. UAE requirements can depend on the precise substance, its classification, seller and purchaser authorisations, import route and proposed use. “Research Use Only” labels alone do not make an otherwise restricted product lawful to sell or buy.

How to assess the documentation
- Confirm product identity, formulation and lot or batch number.
- Request a COA for the actual batch, rather than a generic marketing purity claim.
- Understand which method was used for a reported result and whether the testing body is identified.
- Check whether storage, handling and transport requirements are suitable for the intended laboratory.
- Verify that the purchaser's proposed activity complies with local requirements.
Important risks and limitations
Identity uncertainty, contamination, incomplete testing, improper temperature handling and legal restrictions can all affect research procurement. No analytical certificate establishes that an investigational reagent is safe, effective or approved for human or animal administration.
